What is hypnosis? You can say that hypnosis is a state of intense inner focus in which your subconscious mind is at the forefront while your conscious mind is subdued. “Sleeping” can be a good example to describe of what happens mostly when you are hypnotized. Hypnosis works while you are awake and you are allowed to relax to the point of putting your conscious train of thought to rest. Hypnosis works with your subconscious mind and your subconscious mind is a part of the brain that operates in the background and it is the one which controls exhalation and inhalation, sends and receives physical receptors, and works thrugh many of the steps you take throughout the day.
hypnosis can be used not only by magicians or any other entertainers to perform magic but also by psychologists and psychiatrists to heal traumatized victims of assault, incest or rape. It is also can be used as stress management, weight control, smoking cessation, etc. However hypnosis is very much a mystery to general public and experts alike, they can’t fully explain how it works from a scientific standpoint.
